And whoever among you is unable to marry free believing women, then he may marry believing women from the slaves you have. Allah knows your faith: as from you from some of the others, therefore marry them with the permission of their masters, and give them a proper dowry, while they are women who take care of themselves, not people who commit adultery and not women who take other men as pets: and if they have provided themselves with marriage, then they commit a small act (zina), then they must be punished half the punishment of free women who have husbands. That is for those who are afraid that there will be difficulties in guarding themselves (from adultery) among you. And patience is more for you, And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (An-Nisa: 25).

From Abu Hurairah radliyallahu anhu, he said, “There was a Muslim who once came to the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam while he was in the mosque. The Muslim then called him, “O Messenger of Allah, indeed I have committed Zina.” He then turned away from the Muslim. He then looked away from the person’s face. The person then said, “O Messenger of Allah, indeed I have committed Zina.” He then turned away from the person. This incident was repeated four times. When that person had testified for himself four times, Allah’s Messenger then called him and asked, “Are you crazy?” The person said, “No”.
