It was told from Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu. He said, “Prophet Muhammad, ‘What is the best prayer after the Maktubah prayer (obligatory prayer) and what fasting is the best after fasting in the month of Ramadan? From al-Aswad, he said, “I asked Aisha “How is the night prayer of the Prophet?” She replied, “He used to rest very early at night, and stand up in its tail end to pray, and after that go back to his bed. When the Mu’adh-dhin pronounced the Adhan, he would certainly stand up. If he was looking for a bathroom, he would certainly take it; or else he would certainly perform wudu and after that go out (for praying).”
