Why Salawat Is So Important to Muslims? The Explanation You're Looking For

Why Salawat is so important to Muslims? ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain one thing that is very important for Muslims. I mean, what I mean is reading Salawat. I think we all know what it is to pray to the Prophet Muhammad. We, every day, always say that at least ten times in prayer (salat). So, we should know why that is very important to Muslims.

I must say here before I explain more about why reading Salawat is so important to Muslims. If we read the Quran, then we will find one verse that explains that Allah and all the Angels read Salawat. Directly, the verse explains the command to recite Salawat (pray to the Prophet Muhammad) and its urgency for all of us as Muslims.

Quran About Reasons Why Salawat Is So Important to Muslims

importance of salawat, best salawat, best salawat on prophet muhammad, reading salawat, salawat,

The Quran about reasonso why Salawat is so important to Muslims  I mean is as follows;

Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace. (Al-Ahzab [33]; 56).

The first conclusion we can get from the above Quranic verse is that if Allah and all His Angels read Salawat, then we must do that. But you also have to know, that if Allah recites Salawat to Prophet Muhammad, then that means Allah gave mercy to Prophet Muhammad. If angels read recitations to Prophet Muhammad, that means they ask that Allah always gives mercy to him. But if we are reciting Salawat, it means that we pray that Allah always gives mercy to him, so that he (Prophet Muhammad) gives intercedes (shafaat) to us and that Allah forgives our sins. This is important and we must understand that.

Hadith About Reasons Why Salawat Is So Important to Muslims

In addition to the above Qur’anic verses, we can also find why reading salawat is very important in the hadith.

From Abu Hurairah radliyallahu anhu, that the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “All utterances that do not start by saying” al-Hamdulillah “and praying to me (reciting salawat), then (the remarks) will be interrupted, hindered, and destroyed of all blessings.”

All Readers! The above hadith is one of many hadiths which explain why reading Salawat is very important. Actually, there are many hadiths that explain that. I will explain another hadith in the next few articles, Insha Allah.
