Hadith Qudsi About Fasting ~ Hi all readers! Soon the Muslims will do one of their obligations. They will fast for one month in Ramadan. There are many things we must know about that. One of them is about things that explain fasting in Ramadan. And, one of the things that explain fasting, especially fasting in Ramadan, is the hadith Qudsi. That’s why I wrote this article. So, you have to read this article to the end because it is very important!

There is one important thing that I must say here, that actually there are many hadith Qudsi about fasting, especially fasting in Ramadan. Of course, I will not explain everything in this article. I will only quote three.

Hadith Qudsi About Fasting

The three hadith Qudsi about fasting I mean is as follows;

قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلَّا الصَّوْمَ هُوَ لِيْ وَأَنَا أَجْزِيْ بِهِ

Allah Azza wa Jalla said, “All the actions of the children of Adam are for him, except fasting. It (fasting) is for Me and I will reward it.”

قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى : الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ يَسْتَجِنُّ بِهَا عَبْدِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ

Allah Taala said, “Fasting is a shield that My servants use to protect from Hell.”

قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ يَسْتَجِنُّ بِهَا الْعَبْدُ مِنَ النَّارِ . هُوَ لِيْ وَأَنَا أَجْزِيْ بِهِ

Allah Azza wa Jalla, “Fasting is a shield that My servants use to protect from Hell. It (fasting) is for Me and I will reward it.”

Conclusion

All Readers! If we understand the three hadith Qudsi above, then at least we can conclude a number of things as follows;

The three hadith Qudsi above explain the virtues of fasting, especially fasting in Ramadan.

The first and third hadith Qudsi explains that fasting is worship that is intended for Allah, unlike other worship. That is why Allah will give a lot of rewards to those who fast. As for how much merit Allah will give to those who fast, only Allah knows about it.

The second and third hadith Qudsi explains that fasting is a shield that can be used by a servant to protect themselves from Hell.
