(قُلۡ) The point is, “Say, O Allah’s most noble Messenger!” What is meant by Allah’s most noble messenger is the Prophet Muhammad.

(يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ) It is reported that Walid bin Mughirah, Ash bin Wail, Aswad bin Abdul Muttallib, and Umaiyah bin Khalaf once said to the Prophet Muhammad, “O Muhammad! Come over So that we worship your Lord for some time and you worship our gods for some time, so that peace can be established between us and you, and that our hostility may disappear. If your case is good, then we will partake of it, and if our case is good, then you will take part of it. ” After that Allah sent down Surah al-Kafirun. Thus, the incident was the cause of the fall of this surah.

(لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ) The point is, “That I will not worship the idols that you worship.”

(وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ) The point is, “That you also will not worship the God I worship).

(وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٞ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ) The point is, “That in the past I never worshiped the idols that you worshiped. So, how can I worship it all at this time. “

(وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ) The point is, “That you will never worship the God I worship.”
